The Walking Dead: Michonne (PC) Retrospective | Pathetically Short Filler

Описание: Of the few characters I know in the Walking Dead, Rick Grimes, Rick’s Kid, that guy from Death Stranding, the guy with the bat, Michonne is the one I understand the least. Is the appeal literally that she owns a katana? That seems to be the appeal. Still, may as well capitalize on a popular character, I guess. The Walking Dead: Michonne was initially conceptualized as DLC for Season Two, but the game was separated out into a little standalone thing, perhaps for its usage of the new Telltale engine that would premier fully shortly after, perhaps for its length continuing to grow beyond initial plans, perhaps to try to use it as a vehicle to introduce the show and comics people to the game via a popular character, I dunno. The series only consists of three episodes, and honestly, I wish Telltale wasn’t so dead set on the five episode thing in general, as the flexibility to tell stories at the pace they demand is nice, and apparently takes place canonically at some point in the comics where Michonne leaves the main group, although I don’t know anything about that. Unlike Season One or Two, the release was seemingly very smooth, the entire game released one episode a month from February 2016 to April 2016 simultaneously across PS3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One, PC, and mobile phones, with no apparent delays or stops, so at least one thing went right here.
