However, a heated East Coast rap feud involving State Property, Roc-A-Fella Records, Jay-Z, and Ruff Ryders would change the trajectory of his career forever. A controversial diss record, industry backlash, and allegations of being blackballed led Lotto down a different path—one that would eventually take him to Los Angeles, where he reinvented himself as a producer and independent artist.
