Session Description:
This session leverages the design of an international residency course in Homeland Security to share replicable strategies for globalizing any syllabus. Participants will explore principles of project-based experiential learning and leave with a unique deliverable design template that can be applied to non-traditional courses in any academic program, enhancing student job-relevant skills.
Learning Outcomes:
Apply a team-based deliverable design template to structure non-traditional, project-based assignments for non-security related courses
Integrate the concept of bridging theory and practice through interactive problem-based learning and engagement with global stakeholders
Identify and leverage international university networks (e.g., AU Abroad) and global practitioners to create immersive and cross-cultural learning opportunities
