Repair Hunter Factory Wireless Remote Control Fan - Install Universal Remote Module

Описание: My Hunter fan Model 23457 with remote control receiver Part Number 85112-02 has gone bad. The Hunter fan replacement remote receiver has been discontinued. You must remove or bypass the original Hunter wireless receiver to repair the fan. These fans with a failed factory installed remote control module are more difficult to update because they don't have the separate capacitors and switches that a non-remote control fan have. When the factory wireless remote module is bypassed, a separate capacitor must be installed for the motor to operate. I found a way to modify the wiring and install a new Hunter P/N 99123 Universal 3 speed Ceiling Fan Remote Control using a new separate external capacitor. Ceiling fan capacitors are available from a number of sources. I purchased mine through Digikey. If you install a capacitor to allow high speed , then a new universal wireless module will allow the lower speeds to work.
Warning: This is not a normal do-it-yourself project. It requires electrical knowledge to analyze the specific fan being repaired and to make safe wiring modifications and connections.

I am not recommending that you do this, but I am sharing this to add to the information that I found online because it may be helpful to some.
