Today, like every other day, after dropping my daughter off at school, I returned home to my daily routine. I bought cornmeal to feed the pigs and chickens. Then, someone came to the farm asking to buy the wild boars I had been raising for so long. Selling the wild boars made me happy to have a little extra money to help with living expenses, but also sad because I had been so attached to them every day. I continued to separate the remaining piglets to care for them. Unexpectedly, my ex-husband came to visit. He said he wanted to help me prepare a place to dig a small pond to raise fish later. Hopefully, the lives of my daughter and I will become more stable. Simple things, but full of hope, on this small farm in the mountains.
