Dear Bajans,
For those who don’t want to read my long post on the appalling Economic Diversification and Growth Fund Bill 2025 tabled in our parliament on 25/12/09 and hurriedly debated today, 25/12/12, have a listen. This 12 page Bill about giving out $225 MILLION of OUR MONEY is very poorly drafted. Regulations are subsidiary legislation - they aren’t used to fix a bad main Act. By comparison, the Act passed last year to regulate small sea vessels like fishing boats and jet skis is a whopping 216 pages long! Don’t be misled. Don’t be distracted.
