Описание: Join us on an early morning road trip to Matelot with Hummy Tours, starting at 5:20am and heading along Trinidad’s beautiful north-east coast. This long, scenic and winding drive takes us through some of the island’s most loved stops-from Rampanalgas and Grande Riviere to the refreshing waters of the Matelot River.
Along the way, we stopped for breakfast in Balandra, enjoyed coastal views lined with coconut trees, explored hidden waterfalls at Saut Bay Falls in L’Anse Noire, and took in the raw beauty of San Souci’s rocky coast. We also visited Grande Riviere, home to the world-famous leatherback turtle nesting beach, and made time for local history, rivers, and breathtaking seascapes.
The highlight of the day was a relaxing soak in the cool, sunlit waters of the Matelot River- the perfect reward after a full day of exploring. On our way back, we couldn’t miss out on local treats in Salybia and Matura, including pineapple chow, sugar cake, and homemade coconut ice cream.
This trip reminded us that Matelot isn’t just about the destination- it’s about the journey, the views, the stops, and the simple joys along the way.
