5. SOUNDBITE (Amharic) Ibrahim Harun, Red Sea Afar Democratic Organisation Leader:
"Arabs have occupied the Port of Assab now. A large number of foreign military are seen around the area. A new port and airport is being constructed. This is all happening because (President) Isaias sold our land to the Arabs. But we say our land is not for sale. We say this deal does not benefit the people of Afar in Eritrea at all. We call on the people (of Eritrea) to struggle and topple this government so that we can return back to our country in peace."

"The military branch of RSADO are guerilla fighting now. But we are planning to transform our group into a strategic army soon. There are a lot of Eritreans (in exile) and we are working to arm these people and fight the regime back home. We are also working to acquire sophisticated weaponry so that our fight can make a change."

"I don't want to say we have this, we have that, because we are guerilla fighters and the (Eritrean) regime is our enemy. But numbers don't matter in our case because our cause is a just cause. Our cause is backed by our people. That is what makes us sure that we will defeat the Eritrean regime."

"We are guerilla fighters and we attack the (Eritrean) military from time to time. But nowadays we are witnessing the regime's soldiers are fleeing Eritrea and surrendering in big numbers. And because these soldiers are our brothers, we hand them over to refugee camps."

A rebel group have vowed to launch military attacks at the Eritrean army following the government's decision to lease the Port of Assab to the UAE.
The Red Sea Afar Democratic Organisation's (RSADO) leader accuses the country's president of selling the land to "Arabs".
STORYLINE:
On the move.
These guerilla fighters are getting ready to attack, their leaders say.
The group, known as The Red Sea Afar Democratic Organisation (RSADO), want to oust the current Eritrean government.
Based in Ethiopia, they are the biggest armed rebel group calling for autonomy of the Red Sea Afar Land.
But they've ramped up their rhetoric since the Eritrean government leased the port of Assab to the United Arab Emirates for 30 years, in November 2015.
Saudi Arabia is also establishing itself in the area.
The port is close to Yemen, just 30 kilometres (18 miles) from its border - where the Kingdom is leading airstrikes against rebels who have destabilised the country.
Says Ibrahim Harun, Red Sea Afar Democratic Organisation Leader, "Arabs have occupied the Port of Assab now."
