Crispy Meat-Stuffed Spicy Peppers – You NEED to Try This!

For 500g (about 1lb) minced meat (beef, pork or a mixture - your choice!):
Stuffing:
1 tablespoon of chopped green onion (scallion)
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon garlic powder (or dried minced garlic)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 whole egg
Salt and black pepper to taste
50 ml (about 3½ tablespoons) soy sauce
Mix everything together until smooth and sticky - this is your juicy meat filling!
Batter:
100 g flour
50 g (about ⅓ cup) cornstarch
2 egg yolks
150 ml (⅔ cup) cold water
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
A pinch of salt
Whisk until smooth - it should turn out like a thick pancake batter. Let it rest for a few minutes.
Prepare the peppers: Use moderately hot green peppers.
Remove seeds if you want less spice.
Stuff generously with the meat mixture.
Very important!!!
Sprinkle any exposed areas of the meat with extra cornstarch - it seals everything and makes the batter stick perfectly (just like in the video!).
Dip the stuffed peppers into the batter, dabbing well.
Fry in heated oil (about 170-180°C / 340-350°F) until golden and crispy - 3-5 minutes on each side.
Place on paper towels ... And enjoy the crazy crunch with juicy meat inside! 🌶️🔥
