Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that a few individuals are attempting to mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the restoration of statehood, despite the Union Home Minister having already clarified the roadmap. The Home Minister has made it clear first delimitation, then elections, and thereafter, statehood at an appropriate time.” He said those spreading confusion must understand that the Union Territory government possesses adequate powers which should be utilised for the welfare of the people rather than for political speculation.
