This could not have been a mistake. Even those who dedicate themselves to the Dark Gods knew of Baal. So when a Thousand Sons Battle Barge appeared in the Baal System, the Blood Angels knew this was a deliberate strike.
A warband of Magnus's spawn teleported deep within the bowels of a spire, aiming for an energy source that the Sons of Sanguinius were unaware was tapping into the Warp itself. The Cabal looked to use this power to perform a Dark Ritual, the purpose of only known to them.
