This includes the construction of a general aviation terminal and new parking facilities for charter flights. As Mumbai Airport prepares for this transition, existing hangars will be demolished to make space for an additional taxiway, improving operational efficiency. This move aims to ease congestion at Mumbai Airport while enhancing the infrastructure at Navi Mumbai Airport to accommodate growing demand.
