Fortnum & Mason is known worldwide for its luxury hampers, teas, and iconic Piccadilly store — so naturally, their Afternoon Tea is on many people’s London bucket list.

Complete with a live pianist, elegant tea parlour setting, and their signature preserves, it certainly looks like the ultimate indulgence. But at £82 per person, does it really live up to the hype?

In this episode of my Afternoon Tea review series, I put Fortnum & Mason to the test — and while the setting is undeniably beautiful, I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed by what you actually get for the price...

From the sandwiches to the patisseries, the food felt more 'fine' than 'fantastic' — and for me, the value just wasn’t there compared to other Afternoon Teas I’ve tried in London.
