Adorning what has become his signature sackcloth, the prophet compared himself to Noah, who was told to build the ark to house one pair of each species. For this purpose, Ebo Noah asked his followers to donate money to the divine cause while showcasing the construction of a large wooden vessel. Just like that, donations began to pour in for the self-acclaimed prophet. People who believed in him began selling their belongings to donate to the Ebo Noah project.
As donations started rolling in, the prophet frequently shared footage that appeared to show supervision of the ark project, convincing people that the prophecy may be real. Ebo Noah says that people don’t have to pay to gain entry into the ark, which appeared to be about 10 in number. The prophet stated that the sole requirement for gaining entry into the ark was having a covenant with God, further giving people confidence that the prophecy is real.
While Ebo Noah was parading himself all over social media, many people called him out, stating his prophecy has no biblical backing, and he is a false prophet. But Ebo Noah’s followers were unrelenting in their quest to board the ark. Ahead of doomsday, Ebo Noah again disclosed that the ark was already about 80 per cent complete, insisting it would serve as the only place of refuge when the disaster struck.
As a result, from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, about 380,000 followers across the world gathered, praying and waiting to board what they believed were the final hours before the world was reset. Circulating videos of what appeared to be people trekking to board the ark went viral on social media.
Surprisingly, Ebo Noah made a U-turn on the D-day. The prophet claimed that God’s timeline had shifted. Mr Noah said that after fasting and praying, he had another vision, in which the ark could not contain the multitudes of people coming to board it.
