Addressing food safety concerns through trade and cooperation

Описание: WTO hosts International Forum on Food Safety and Trade to strengthen global cooperation

Access to safe food is a central element of public health and crucial for achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. International cooperation will help to deliver this goal. WTO rules can play an important part by enabling governments to protect their citizens while ensuring trade can play its critical part in maintaining timely supplies of safe and affordable food.

This forum, held on 23-24 April, builds on a previous event in Addis Ababa in February 2019.
