Описание: I scattered 2.5 quarts "Glass Gem" corn seed upon a hard rocky clay hill to grow like grass, but varmint ate 99% of it. What remained grew stunted at 3 foot tall with not enough proximity to fertilize. I planted 4 rows in 10'x10' fertile loam about 2" deep and varmint dug up 75%. I replanted 6" deep, packed soil, and sprinkled cinnamon generously. This effectively repels rodents. The 10x10 plants grew to 8 foot tall with 3 fully developed ears per plant ( 1st planting) and mostly developed (2nd planting). I planted 2 tight rows in 2 ditches 6" deep, packed, and cinnamon. 1 ditch had better soil and light which grew 6 foot tall with some fully developed ears. 2 ditch had packed clay and more shade which grew 2 foot tall hardly developed ears. Both were later plantings. I planted very dense mound 6" deep, packed cinnamon. Rodents stayed away. I transplanted at 3' tall which required some staking due to legginess of dense planting. As plants grew they strengthened and support was removed. Also, many plants broke or were trimmed back during transplant. Most of the trimmed plants produced reproductive parts mostly immature ears. The transplants produced few mostly developed ears dye to overcrowding and late planting. It would transplant better at about 6" instead of 3'. My "Ambrisia" sweet corn grew beautifully, but racoons destroyed all of it.
