Welcome back to another episode of *Voice of Red Hackle*🎙️, a podcast of the cadets, by the cadets, and for the cadets.

Today we have CDT Rahul Singh Parihar, author of the NCC book The Untold Story From MP & CHH DTE. Along with CDT Gaurav Mishra, co-author of the NCC book from MP & CHH DTE.

CDT Rahul Singh Parihar further mentions how they started their journey of being an author of the book. They were inspired by SGT Pratap Singh, who was the first NCC cadet to be awarded a gallantry award. They further make the cadets aware by unfolding his introduction and bravery achievements.
After not being able to find more information, both the cadets got inspired to work on the book.

CDT Rahul Singh Parihar shared his emotional yet brave story of his family. His great-grandfather was head constable in MP, and his grandfather is a retired company commander in the MP Police 25 Battalion special armed force. His uncle, Shaheed Lance Naik Binod Singh Parihar, and they all were his source of motivation for their sacrifices at a young age and dedication to serving the nation. After losing his father in an accident, CDT Rahul Singh Parihar states that his grandfather supported him throughout the whole journey.

CDT Gaurav Mishra further adds his experience of meeting CDT Rahul Singh Parihar's families and getting to know stories of operation, which fuel his desire to work on the book. He also mentioned the history of NCC, a part often unknown to many cadets.

Colonel R. K. Sharma and Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav penned the foreword of the book and praised both the cadets for their dedication. CDT Rahul Singh Parihar also shared the memorable experience of meeting Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, who was the first to read The Untold Story.

CDT Gaurav Mishra expressed how honored they felt meeting Colonel R. K. Sharma. Listening to his stories gave them a deeper understanding of the true meaning of sacrifice, filling both cadets with immense motivation. Their visit to the Grenadiers Regimental Centre with him was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
