I made this a while back and might as well post it here. Included Assassin's Creed 1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, AC3, AC4 Black Flag, Rogue, and Unity.
Couldn't find a common use of side ejects in Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, or Valhalla. There are very situational uses such as skipping puzzles, but not in traversal. I haven't played Mirage yet so I can't say.
