LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR JACKO
Michael Jackson attended the 54th Annual Bambi Awards tonight, where he is to receive a Bambi entertainment lifetime achievement award from the German Burda Publishing house.
He arrived along with a host of stars including singer Anastacia and Oscar winning Bond girl Halle Berry.
The event is the focal point of his visit to Berlin, although media attention has focused on Tuesday's incident which saw Jackson endanger his young son by hanging him over a balcony railing at a Berlin hotel on Tuesday.
On Tuesday evening, Jackson said he made a "terrible mistake" by holding his young son over the fourth-floor balcony.
German and U.S. television news programmes repeatedly broadcast the footage of the reclusive pop star's brief appearance at the Hotel Adlon, and some child advocacy groups have criticised his actions.
