Barber Vintage Bike Festival 2025 Lloyd on my SV650 in SOT3 Saturday race

Описание: Lloyd Davis and his son Kyle Davis came to the USA from Australia to race with AHRMA at the Barber Vintage Bike Festival. Earlier this year bikes to race were offered by another long time AHRMA member and the trip was set up and booked. Unfortunately, a couple months ago, that generous person passed away suddenly and the offered rides were in limbo. He will be greatly missed in the paddock by all, AHRMA posted the story on it's members Facebook page and asked if anybody else had a bike for the offering. I was unable to race the VBF this rear so I offered my two bikes, which were not even close to the classes of bikes they normally race, but would be something, at least, if nothing more to their liking was available.

As it turned out, they raced my bikes and I now have two wonderful new friends from Australia.

This is Lloyds Saturday race on my 1st gen SV650.. This bike is built for WERA Lightweight Twins Super Stock class and as such is not very competitive in SOT3 class. But with a good rider can still finish mid field or close to it.

Lloyd, after two days of practice on a new track, a new bike, and a bike 30 years newer than anything he had ever raced did well. He finished with the same laptimes I ran in my last race two years ago. Congratulations mate. Well done.

I'm not saying I'm fast.... Two years ago I finished 21st in a field of 32..... but I'm out there and I don't get in anybody's way :) Well, not everybody's.......
