Women’s reservation, Delimitation bills: PM Modi offers 'blank cheque' to opposition for credit

Описание: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the House and said that women’s reservation is not a favor but their rightful due. He highlighted that the 33% reservation for women was delayed for nearly 30 years due to technical reasons.

Modi said that the time to oppose women’s reservation is over and no one has the courage to stand against it now. He also dismissed political credit claims and said he is ready to give full credit to the opposition.

The Prime Minister added that during his time as Chief Minister, he saw how effective women leaders are at the grassroots level. He believes that women’s participation in Parliament will bring new strength, sensitivity, and better discussions.
