Shouzhou has been frequently seen in history. It is now Shou County, which retains the ancient city wall built in the Song Dynasty and is now listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit. The current layout of Shouzhou Ancient City maintains the outline of the Tang Dynasty. The circumference of the ancient city wall of the Song Dynasty reaches 7,147 meters. It is the best-preserved ancient city wall of the Song Dynasty in China. All four gates are well preserved and each has a urn city. The drainage culvert, also known as Yueba, embodies the wisdom of the ancients, allowing Shouzhou to resist powerful enemies time and time again while also withstanding the repeated attacks of floods. Today, the street layout in the ancient city still maintains the old horizontal and vertical style.
