茫崖翡翠湖是青海省茫崖市花土溝鎮西南側，距鎮約23公里，南依崑崙山、北靠阿爾金山，是一處獨特的人工鹽湖（硫酸鎂亞型），礦坑總面積26平方公里，水深約0.5公尺。因湖水顏色如翡翠般透亮而得名。這裡原本是鉀肥開採留下的礦坑，經過多年養護，反而化身成為戈壁灘上的一顆明珠。湖水含不同濃度礦物質，呈淡青、翠綠、深綠，風平浪靜時如戈壁翠玉和 "天空之鏡" 。現為熱門打卡地，一邊進行鉀肥生產，一邊開展生態旅遊，年接待遊客可達20萬餘萬人次。
Mangya Emerald Lake is located southwest of Huatugou Town, Mangya City, Qinghai Province, about 23 kilometers from the town. Nestled between the Kunlun Mountains to the south and the Altun Mountains to the north, it is a unique artificial salt lake (magnesium sulfate subtype). The mining pit covers a total area of 26 square kilometers and has a depth of about 0.5 meters. It is named for its emerald-like, translucent water. Originally a potash fertilizer mining site, it has been transformed into a pearl in the Gobi Desert after years of conservation efforts. The lake water contains varying concentrations of minerals, displaying shades of light blue, emerald green, and dark green. When calm, it resembles a Gobi jade and a "mirror of the sky." Now a popular tourist destination, it combines potash fertilizer production with ecotourism, receiving over 200,000 visitors annually.
