UNR students hold protest after alleged racist incident on campus

On Tuesday, University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) students participated in a peaceful protest at the Knowledge Center on campus. The protest came in response to an alleged racist incident that was recorded at the Black Scholars Living Learning Community on campus a couple of weeks ago.
"Someone sent the video in and was just like, I don't feel safe. I don't feel comfortable," Co-president of UNR's Black Student Organization (BSO) Virchelle Banks said.
The student protesters also called on the university to take a more active stance in solidarity with its students of color.
