WHAT ARE EXTERNAL DEVELOPMENT CHARGES (EDC) ?

Описание: A type of Infrastructure Development Charges, external development charges (EDC) are levied by some states by the state development agency to the developer/ colonizer in order to provide better public infrastructure facilities at the town level. External Development Works include water supply, sewerage, drains, necessary provisions of treatment and disposal of sewage, sullage and storm water, roads, electrical works, solid waste management and disposal, slaughter houses, colleges, hospitals, stadium/sports complex, fire stations, grid sub-stations etc. and any other work which the development agency may specify to be executed in the periphery of or outside colony/area for the benefit of the colony/area. The developer further passes on these charges to the property buyers.
