I was in Costa Rica this week to attend the SAHIC (http://www.sahic.com) South American Hotel Investment Conference in San Jose. The theme was sustainable development and appropriately enough, one of the keynote speakers was Philippe Cousteau. Grandson of iconic ocean explorer and naturalist Jacques Cousteau, Philppe is an environmentalist and activist, using television like his grandfather but also social media and other forums to help drive change. I had a chance to interview Philippe about sustainable luxury travel.
