Spanning from 1887 to 1893, Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison clashed in a series of propaganda conflicts that attempted to convince the public whose system was more efficient. Both men resorted to publicity stunts, sneaky dealing, and involved themselves in diplomatic relations with the press. Known as “The War of the Currents”, this debate led to both Edison and Tesla’s inventions to work jointly to power America’s demanding needs.
