President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the launching of Dongfeng Motors in the Philippines during a program at the Metrotent in Pasig City on October 16, 2023.
Founded in 1969, Dongfeng Motors Inc. stands as one of the largest automobile groups in China. Over the course of more than 50 years, the company has emerged as an industrial leader in various aspects, including research and development, manufacturing, and marketing.
Today's event is a realization of Dongfeng Motors’ partnership with the Filipino-owned corporation, Legado Motors Inc. As a relatively newcomer in the automotive industry, having been established in 2018, Legado Motors aims to make a name in the dynamic and competitive market.
Seeing the collaboration as an opportunity to introduce innovative and environmentally-friendly vehicles to the Philippine market, Dongfeng Motors and Legado Motors are launching the brand's lineup of electric vehicles (EVs). These EVs are poised to transform the way Filipinos travel, especially amid rising fuel costs, and create a significant impact on the environment and economy.
