Stirling engine woodstove fan test

Описание: This was an experiment to see if it was practical to use one of my small Stirling engines as a woodstove fan. As you can see, even with the cylinder just resting on the surface, no heatsink to pull more heat into it, the engine drove a 19" fan at a respectable speed, sufficient to move the heat around the room. At some point I will try it with an aluminum block around the hot side of the cylinder and see if I can up the rpm's. Fun to see this little engine do some useful work!
