Описание: Clara Schumann (nee Wieck) was a German pianist and composer who is best known for a marriage to composer Robert Schumann. However, Clara was a highly renown pianist, frequently performing works by her husband and by Johannes Brahms, and also an accomplished composer primarily of piano works and songs. Her 3 preludes and fugues in opus 16 demonstrate that she also was a formidable expert of counterpoint (as was her husband). It is intriguing to speculate that these works were a result of her (and his?) studies of JS Bach's compositions. While Robert wrote several pieces for Pedalflügel that are very well suited for organ performance, Clara's opus 16 was likely intended for piano play; however, the compositions for the most part are four-part pieces that are nearly ideal for organ performance, too. This No. 3 consists of a prelude in d minor marked Andante, followed by a fugue labeled Andante con moto. Instrument: Johannus Live III, sample: Sauer - Leipzig.
