திருவேதிகுடி வேதபுரீசுவரர் கோயில் (Thiruvedhikudi Vedapuriswarar Temple) சம்பந்தர், அப்பர் பாடல் பெற்ற சிவாலயமாகும். இது தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. பிரமனும் வேதமும் வழிபட்ட தலமென்பது தொன்நம்பிக்கை (ஐதிகம்). தேவாரப் பாடல் பெற்ற தலங்களில் சோழ நாடு காவிரி தென்கரைத் தலங்களில் 14ஆவது சிவத்தலமாகும்.
வேதி - பிரமன். பிரமன் பூசித்த தலமாதலின் வேதிகுடி என்று பெயர் பெற்றது. வேதம் வழிபட்டதாகவும் கூறுவர். ( 'விழுதிகுடி' என்பது மருவி 'வேதிகுடி' ஆயிற்று என்பர் ஒருசாரார்.)
சுவாமி வாழைமடுவில் உற்பத்தியானதால் 'வாழைமடு நாதர்' என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.
மகாமண்டபத்தில் உள்ள விநாயகர் (தலவிநாயகர்) வேதவிநாயகர் எனப்படுகிறார்.
இறைவன் நான்கு முகங்களாலும் அருளிச் செய்யும் நான்கு வேதங்களையும் செவிசாய்த்துக் கேட்கும் நிலையில்; இடக்காலை உயரமாக வைத்து அற்புதமாகக் காட்சித் தருகிறார்.
முதலாம் ஆதித்த சோழன் காலக்கோயிலான இக்கோயிலின் கல்வெட்டில், சுவாமி "வேதிகுடி மகாதேவர் " என்றும், "பரகேசரி சதுர்வேதி மங்கலத்து மகாதேவர் " என்றும் குறிக்கப்படுகிறார்.
