On a perfect summer morning, we fly to the islands off of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, trying to make it back home before the kids wake up.
Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are beautiful and very popular vacation destinations. Even though I'm a private pilot based in nearby Hyannis, I haven't actually flown to the islands yet. Until today.
Our teenage kids are taking full advantage of their summer break, sleeping in heartily on days they're not working. It's time to find out if we can make the journey to both Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket and get home before they wake up.
