DA members call for urgent VAT relief

Описание: Members of the Democratic Alliance have staged a protest outside the Department of Finance in Pretoria. The party wants finance minister Enoch Godongwana to cut the Value Added Tax when he delivers his medium-term budget policy statement next week. The party says South Africans are hungry and starving and it proposes a basket of zero-rated items that would also include tinned beans, wheat flour, margarine, baby food and coffee amongst others.
