Pushing off the back foot is disastrous for your golf swing. It appears that's the great players are doing but it's an illusion. Think of throwing a ball or a javelin or swinging a baseball bat, if you examine the motion closely you see that inertia is put into the body prior to the action an then in order to get the energy to the arm or bat the entire body is jammed backward by the front leg. This action transfers all inertia up and into the arms to propel the throw or swing. We fall off the back foot and onto the front foot but we don't push off of it. You cannot push with a leg that is bending, only one that is straightening. Watch any great golfer and you'll see the back leg is bending as they swing. What you need to understand is when the actual swing happens and what leads up to it are not the same motions.

Golf should not be a struggle. Golf should not be hard. Golf is easy if you know the secret.
