But everything is fun in the end!
From Iloilo City, where we had coffee at the classic Madge Cafe in La Paz Market, we rode to Cabatuan, and its famous Tinuom - a native chicken soup cooked in banana leaf!
All of these towns have character and history - I love travelling the back road towards Capiz, with its unique quirks!
After a couple of failed missions near Jamindan, we decided to see what the "Road to Forever" was - and it was almost forever for a chicken near the Aklan boundary!
Finally we reached Batan, which has a brilliantly named barangay and beautiful coastline - at which point, the coffee and sugar had done all it could do!
