but yeah that’s what this is. it’s also kind of my thing sometimes, so


marshadow’s pretty alright i guess. i don’t have strong feelings for it, it’s cute and has a cool type, and will probably be a mystery gift legendary in the game, so i’ll never see it ever. but it’s been a few months since a pokémon battle theme so i was pretty itching to do something like this anyway. finished it in three days and it made me appreciate how fast i’ve gotten comparatively to making my past works. i could be faster but hey, working on it (muscle arm emoji)

and u know, listening to this and my lunala piece together, i think i’ve already gotten better at doing battle themes without (more than one or two or none) soundfonts. it’s not ENTIRELY pokémon, this style i have, but that’s ok. completely copying another style is boring as hell, i’d like to add my own influences even to stuff like this.wow is this reflection time or what. idk i like being on top of that stuff--knowing where you’re going wrong and where you’re differentiating from your goal and improving on it is important to me, it helps me stay in perspective. this is too serious i’m just a dumb youtube boy making dumb tunes ok

um wanna know something fun tho?????i was totally coherent with this one. marshadow is cute, right, and unassuming?well, i made the start of the song simple, but it’s kinda foreboding, then BANGO it hits with the chugs (gotta use more chugs in the future yessss) and the hi hats and then u remember marshadow is a fighting type and probably packs a punch. hell yeah. hell yeah. go me go marshadow beat up some surprised scrubs do it


enjoy idk what I’m doing next i have two exams so maybe not much but we will see i guess?????????????????
