[10] Vision for the Future
Ten to fifteen years from now, if we've passed the advocacies that I've mentioned earlier, I think we'll have a stronger population, a more motivated population, a better educated population, a healthier population and definitely a much, I would say, a more robust economy where the people, where the people are actually enjoying the advantages of the strong numbered economy.
I can't stand it whenever they say that there's a ten percent growth rate, double digit growth rate and yet we're at 50% poverty levels. 50% of our population live under the amounts of PHP 100 a day. Now that is a farce. And as UP students, we should not allow that to happen. Whether you are UP Law, UP Architecture, UP Economics, UP Agriculture, we cannot allow that to happen to our country. We must step up and make a difference for our people.
