While tourists in this video escaped unhurt, those who have been injured by an orangutan will find this video terrifying. Orangutans are extremely strong animals and visitors at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre (SORC) have been attacked in the past. It is not the fault of orangutans when they grab or attack people.
Orangutan tourism at the SORC doesn't abide by conservation guidelines set by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). As a result of this and the hands-on volunteering programme which took place for almost 20 years until early 2020, there are humanised (over habituation to, and/or overdependency on, humans) SORC orangutans roaming at the centre, like the one in this video, instead of living in a forest only, away from humans.
Unsustainable tourism at the SORC exposes not only tourists but orangutans to disease (e.g. hepatitis, TB, influenza) risks. Orangutans undergoing rehabilitation who become humanised may not be able to live fully independent lives in a forest - a dire prospect for a Critically Endangered species at risk of extinction.
