Описание: As a young man, Fernando III, King of León-Castile, successfully navigated the tumultuous landscape of his family’s internal conflicts. He was a valiant general, and a dedicated Christian, who led many crusades into al-Andalus. His most determined opponent was Ibn-Hud, a former mercenary who claimed to be a descendant of the old emirs of Zaragoza. A gifted commander and courageous warrior, Ibn-Hud rallied the Muslims of al-Andalus, and stood in defiance of King Fernando. Ultimately this battle would culminate at Córdoba, the one-time capital of the Umayyad Arab conquerors of Spain.
