বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসে এমন কিছু বিতর্কিত নির্বাচন হয়েছে, যেখানে সরকার নির্বাচিত হলেও ক্ষমতায় টিকতে পারেনি। আজকের ভিডিওতে আমরা এমন কিছু নির্বাচনের পরবর্তী ঘটনাবলী নিয়ে আলোচনা করব। এ ধরনের ঘটনা বাংলাদেশে নতুন নয়।

১৯৮৬ সালের তৃতীয় জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচন এই ধারাবিহকতার প্রথম উদাহরণ:

তৎকালীন সামরিক শাসক হুসেইন মুহাম্মদ এরশাদের অধীনে এই নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বিএনপি এই নির্বাচন বর্জন করলেও আওয়ামী লীগ অংশগ্রহণ করে। নির্বাচনে জামায়াতে ইসলামীও অংশ নেয়। জাতীয় পার্টি ১৫৩টি আসনে জয়লাভ করে, আওয়ামী লীগ ৭৬টি এবং জামায়াতে ইসলামী ১০টি আসন পায়। নির্বাচনের পর ব্যাপক অনিয়ম ও ভোট কারচুপির অভিযোগ ওঠে। পরবর্তীতে আন্দোলনের মুখে এরশাদ সরকারের পতন ঘটে।

There have been some controversial elections in the political history of Bangladesh, where the government was elected but could not remain in power. In today's video, we will discuss the aftermath of some such elections. Such incidents are not new in Bangladesh.

The third national parliamentary election of 1986 is the first example of this trend:

This election was held under the then military ruler Hussain Muhammad Ershad. Although BNP boycotted the election, Awami League participated. Jamaat-e-Islami also participated in the election. Jatiya Party won 153 seats, Awami League got 76 and Jamaat-e-Islami got 10 seats. After the election, there were allegations of widespread irregularities and vote rigging. Later, the Ershad government fell in the face of protests.
