Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and the Meerut Metro, boosting high-speed connectivity between Delhi and Meerut.
The launch marks a major milestone in India’s regional transport infrastructure, with the rapid rail system designed to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities.
During the event, development projects worth nearly ₹13,000 crore were also inaugurated and dedicated to the public.
