New Exposé Reveals How MDHR Buries Discrimination Complaints to Protect DFL-Funded Nonprofits with Violent Histories

St. Paul, MN – Retired U.S. Navy Intelligence Officer and 2026 Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Phillip C. Parrish today released a hard-hitting article spotlighting the plight of whistleblower Alexis Poinsett – a hardworking Minnesotan dad with autism who’s been systematically destroyed by retaliation from employers and endless delays at the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR).

After a workplace injury, Poinsett submitted overwhelming evidence – over 81 documents, recordings, and texts – proving discrimination and retaliation by Baldinger Bakery, Cub Foods/Supervalu, and the state-funded “We Push for Peace” nonprofit. MDHR investigators admitted not reading all the evidence, ignored key recordings, and stonewalled his requests for fairness. Now, over two years later, no determination – while Poinsett risks losing his home and supporting his three kids.

Meanwhile, “We Push for Peace” – whose workers were caught on video brutally assaulting customers at Cub Foods locations (resulting in assaults charges and terminations) – raked in taxpayer-backed contracts and ties to controversial liquor operations in high-crime areas. This is the same grifter network fueled by millions in questionable state funding to unregistered or dodgy nonprofits.

“This is organized crime with state badges,” said Parrish. “MDHR isn’t protecting human rights – it’s running interference for the DFL machine’s slush-fund favorites. Real Minnesotans get crushed; connected hustlers get protected. As Governor, I’ll dismantle this syndicate root and branch.”
