Another one for the Off-Air Olympics! Guests on this edition of that show hosted by the Queen of Nice are fitness guru Richard Simmons, singer-actor Meat Loaf, Olympian Michael Johnson, and comic Susan Norfleet (who was booked under the name of her country-singing spoof Vicky Vivrette). Since this taping, Simmons and Meat Loaf have both passed away, with Simmons having left the world this very year; I wonder what became of Michael Johnson and Susan Norfleet? I seem to have the year 1999 for the latter's most recent acting credit. Oh, yes, and this was apparently Barbra Streisand Day on the show (or, as Meat Loaf put it, "Barbra Streisand Suck-Up Day") so Rosie and her guests do some obvious gush-overs with her (though Babs herself doesn't appear on this particular episode).
