Every year Essence brings their festival down here. This year was no different. Since I have been a child I remember going with my mom. It was a major event, and the world stopped! Brands like Walmart, McDonald’s, Loreal, and TBS Network would shell out money to offer guests major gifts and prizes. Let me be honest, I’ve not been to the convention center in a number of years, but things have changed. There are less giveaways, and less brands sponsoring the event. Yet, I enjoyed hanging with my mom and friend no matter the lack of prizes. Let me do say that Disney gave away the best! We got Minnie Ears and we won a large 70th Edition Disney Land Blanket.
