Cherchen Man was a perfectly preserved heat-dried European mummy found in the Xinjiang region of ancient China around 3,000 years ago, at the time the city of Troy was being conquered in the Trojan Wars. A giant at over six feet tall, he was buried with other European settlers who had migrated to China centuries before their existence was known to Chinese historians.
