Описание: David Kays, M.D., FAAP, FACS, is a professor of surgery, director of the congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) program and director of the extracorporeal life support program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kays treats pediatric patients born with CDH, a life-threatening abnormality which occurs when the muscle between the chest and the abdomen don’t form properly, causing the stomach, intestines, and sometimes the liver to be pushed up into the chest, suppressing the growth of the lungs.
