In this factory tour, we're looking at a painting factory in northern Taiwan, used by some computer hardware manufacturers (Lian Li and Digital Storm included) for high-end paint jobs. Painting is the second-most expensive method of coating computer hardware in Taiwan, led only by anodization and followed by electroplating and electrodeposition. For this one, we look at some semi autonomous methods of painting PC hardware, including robotic arms that are pre-programmed to paint specific products. A lot of processes in painting are still human, but these factories are moving increasingly toward automation.
