Omega Balrog is almost entirely the same as his previous versions, in terms of tools, and archetype. A few changes in his Omega version expand on his offensive presence and damage output, but he isn't quite as smothering due to how certain specials were changed. His frame data is overall improved.

Main changes:

close HP is now EX special cancelable.

Far HP is now Super and FADC cancelable.


Turn-Around Punch (TAP) -
Is now done holding either HP or HK. You can't hold more than one TAP at a time. Normal TAP can only be charged up to level 5. Level 5 TAP causes a soft knockdown. Any level of TAP that hits as counterhit will cause a soft knockdown. It takes 10 seconds to charge to EX Final TAP. Final TAP costs 1 bar and requires briefly holding down and letting go any other button simultaneously with either HP or HK.


Dash Upper - Charge time is significantly faster, leading to extended combo routes and corner carry potential. Normal Dash upper causes a juggle which can combo into EX Dash Straight. EX Dash upper hits crouching now.


Only armored EX Rush punches now are EX Dash Low Straight and EX Smash.


EX Dash straight is surprisingly punishable, but it's fair because it's so much faster, giving it amazing link and combo potential. It also juggles from Dash upper, Headbutt (normal or EX), dash low smash (character specific if outside of the corner), and EX TAP in the corner.

New Stuff:

Target Combo - close MK, s.MK. It can cancel into HK TAP charge (not release) and be linked from. full TC is close MK, s.MK, s.HK. Can combo into super.

Gigaton Blow - Essentially an "EX Super" that combos from EX Dash Straight. It only takes all 3 Punch buttons to trigger it.

Horn Breaker - A forward moving command grab. Strength determines range and grab start up. All versions do 140 damage, 300 stun. EX has massive reach, grabs fast, and does 140 damage, 350 stun.

Some video details:
There are some character and version-specific scenarios. 2 things I wanted to point out. In the 2nd half of the video, there are a couple clips with USF4 Vega. Those combos + grab reset do NOT work on Omega Vega. Omega Vega has a different hurtbox.

Also the last combos on Seth and Abel ONLY work on Abel and Seth (as far as I know) regardless of character version.
