From bustling city centres to serene village squares, revellers gathered to mark the festival of colours with music, dance and the exchange of festive greetings.
In Panaji, Margao, Vasco and Mapusa, groups of youngsters were seen smearing colours, dancing to festive beats and spreading cheer. Traditional celebrations such as ‘Shigmo’ processions and folk performances added a cultural touch to the festivities in several parts of the state.
