Letter reversals can be common in many children up until age 7, or 3rd grade.
Why? If your child struggles with reversals, this does not necessarily mean your child has a learning difficulty. It can just mean that they lack the experience as a reader and writer to tell the difference between letters.
What to do? Here's 6 Tips:
1) Teach Letters in Groups
2) Use Visual Cues and Prompts
3) Use Multisensory Approaches
4) Teach Audible Differences
5) Build Visual Perceptual Skills
6) Build Visual Memory
